Preliminary Information about Internships at Thrive

Thrive Boston counseling and life coaching specializes in proving the highest quality of counseling and life coaching care in Boston, or anywhere.

We receive requests, almost daily, from students of various levels seeking a practicum or internship opportunity.

Internship placements at Thrive Boston counseling therapy are extremely competetive. In addition, Internships at Thrive often do not comply with counseling or psychology programs’ requirements because we are not able to provide guaranteed contact between interns and counseling clients.

Instead, interns learn how to be successful in the competitive field of counseling by participating in managerial, administrative, and outreach tasks. Interns interact with full-time Thrive staff, shadowing their daily work (not observing sessions) and participating in weekly staff peer-supervision.

Interns are often requested to complete tasks such as:

Writing material for various therapy topics, and therapy practices
Conducting literature research
Acquiring data for client surveys
Writing and publishing newsletters
Participating in community outreach activities

Internships at Thrive are unpaid.
